I went to my house with Marco, because I wanted to show him my new computer game. We were playing for a while, when Tom entered my room.
Tom: "Hello, boys! Did you hear what happened last night on the construction site?“ Jake: "What, Tom?“ Tom: "Supposedly some kids lighted fireworks there.“ Jake: "So?“ Tom:"Some idiots from the neighbourhood thought there were flying saucers! You were at the mall yesterday evening, right? Did you walk across the constuction site on your way home, Jake?“ Jake: "Certainly not, Tom.“ Tom: "I wouldn't make any problems. I think it's kind of cool. They messed around a little, and scared all of those people so much that they talk about flying saucers.“ Jake: "Yes.“ Tom: "Only real idiots believe in such things as aliens and little green men. You don't belong them, do you?“ Jake: "Never, Tom.“ Tom: "Cool. You know, Jake, I think we don't do much together lately.“ Jake: "Guess, not.“ Tom: "Pity. You know, you should join the Sharing. Marco, too.“ Marco: "Why?“ Tom: "I have to go now. See you, boys. And don't forget: Tell me if you hear something about the kids on the construction site.“
You hear a door close.
Marco: "You know what, Jake? He is one of them.“ Jake: "What?“ Marco: "Tom is one of them. Your brother is a Controller.“ Jake: "What do you mean?! I'll beat you for that!“ Marco: "Jake! Let go! Ouch!“ Jake: "Take back , what you said about Tom!“ Marco: "Do you really think, it's just a coincidence that he is suddenly so interested in what happened on the construction site?“ Jake: "Tom is my brother! He would never allow those slimy disgusting creatures to get in his head!“ Marco: "Well, maybe I'm wrong. But you have to admit, it doesn't look good.“ Jake: "Tom isn't one of them, OK? Stop it!“ Marco: "Whatever. Just don't beat me again.“ |
