I got a very interesting email today. According to a source (that wishes to remain unnamed), there may be a slight chance of Scholastic planning to relaunch Animorphs.
So what does this mean exactly? Absolutely nothing at the moment. Consider it as a rumor for now. Rumors, especially those revolving around to the relaunch of the Animorphs series, are nothing new. They can date all the way back from the day the series ended. Most of them are just topics of wishful discussions amongst fans. However, you never know how these things can go, so I am posting about this just in case.
No official announcements of any kind have been made by Scholastic yet either. I will keep you all updated if there are any further details to add on this matter.
In the meantime, is there anyone at Scholastic we should email to encourage this?

What do you mean, ‘relaunch?’

I don’t believe this will happen and I’m sure it’s just a rumor.
However, there are two things that make me think someday something like this might just happen:
1. My kids at school LOVE Animorphs. Elementary schoolers, almost ten years later, still read Animorphs.
2. The fan-base is still alive and well in spite of the length of time it’s been over.
And, on another note, I think I would die of a heart attack (joyful heart attack) if I saw Animorphs again. Maybe they’d re-publish the whole series and I’d have a chance to get it to a few other schools doing literacy programs.

I really hope so. Animorphs made a bigger impact on than Harry Potter and i think it would be great for the next generations to be influenced by this great series! Oh god i sound old. im 17 lol
