While there still hasn’t been much news on an Animorphs movie, the new series ‘Gone’ by Michael Grant (co-author/creator of Animorphs) seems to be seriously being considered for a movie. Michael Grant explains it in his own words, using the Twitter video, below:
PLEASE! MAKE AN ANIMORPH MOVIE! It could be the next great movie saga! It’s about the perfect time, people might have started to forget the tv/book series, a series the most kids/teens at the time LOVED. Just think of the old generation of kids, AND new generation coming together to see an EPIC film series! ahhh my hopes are up now lol. π

gone was one of the most amazing books it really needs to be made into a movie.find some good actors and an awesome producer and it could be one awesome movie
Comment by brittany hanks — September 6, 2009 @ 5:03 pm
I imagine one of the huge hurdles with Animorphs is the issue of screentime being dominated by telepathic animals. Works great on the page but the Hollywood people are probably skeptical. One of the issues with Gone is the difficulty in marketing it with big name actors since there wouldn’t be any adult roles.
Anyways, this is great news.
Comment by Hylian Dan — September 11, 2009 @ 8:16 pm
I think that making Gone into a movie would be amazing, however I think it would be cool if they made it into a TV series. On the subjec of characters I think that the perfect characters should be the characters on the cover of the book. If they arent able to, get someone that resembles them. do that and this movie will be huge!:)
Comment by Emily — September 19, 2009 @ 3:16 pm
Totally agree with Emily – TV serioes would be great, like a Heroes-style drama but for teens – say 12 episodes or so a season you could adapt the rest of the novels into a season per book it would be awesome – teen TV series are usually more memorable than movies!
Comment by Mark — September 21, 2009 @ 6:29 pm
That would totally awesome if Gone was made into a movie. They should definitely use the characters from the book cover. Sam and Astrid are so cute together lol
Comment by Brittany — November 1, 2009 @ 6:07 pm
who would yall like to take the roles of sam & astrid & quinn and all them? i’m actually starting to look up some actors…
Comment by Megan — November 7, 2009 @ 10:29 pm
I think Sterling Knight for Caine, he’s got that over-charming look that seems creepy underneath, and although he’s 20 he could definitely pass for 15. If not him then someone very similar.
Comment by Mark — November 10, 2009 @ 6:27 pm
Gone was a good book. They really need to make it a movie. I would watch this movie, My friends would watch this movie, and people who are intrested in thrillers will watch this movie. I can’t wait if this movie is coming out! :):):):):):):)=D
Comment by LeighAnn — November 15, 2009 @ 8:37 am

Comment by rhizzy — November 18, 2009 @ 11:44 am
Man, if this will turn out to a movie I don’t think I’ll be so happy. Huh, maybe I’m just gonna be jealous on the actors allowed to be in it x]
The only movie I’ve watched who’s better than the book must be… Maybe the Lord of the Ring, but the book is really good to! Oh my God, I remember the Golden Compass… I think I have nightmares about the Gone-book turning into a movie like that! But hopefully Mic wont let that happen.
Comment by J — November 25, 2009 @ 8:37 am

NO! don’t make it into a TV show!!! A movie would be great but a TV show will get me sick of the characters and everything…. I absouloutly adored these books an d have lies preordered… It is my most favorite book ever!!!!!!!!! Dont do it please for the REAL fans!!!!!!!!! BTW no offence to your idea i loved the books. P.S: Every TV show ( in my opinion) made from a book has ruined the experience of the book. Bye Bye!

Yay!!
Comment by Alyssa Rogers — December 7, 2009 @ 10:44 am
May 4th is the release date for ‘LIES’, the next Gone book. The movie is still unconfirmed for now.
Comment by iS — December 8, 2009 @ 12:03 am
Thanks Litany, glad we agree on Sterling. Any other casting ideas?
And in reply to Sami, I am a REAL fan and a TV series would mean they could adapt all the books in the series, which would be better than just a movie based on the 1st book.
Harry Potter and Twilight are the only book series that are adapting every book – look at Stormbreaker, Golden Compass, Series of Unfortunate Events – most children’s/teens’ book adaptations only adapt the 1st book and then give up! I want all the GONE series!
Comment by Mark — December 9, 2009 @ 5:08 am
No, not Sterling Knight he’s too… blonde (I feel racist now) But Steven R. McQueen would be really good for the role of Caine π . The book is awesome! :> Can’t wait for Lies and Plague! I like Diana though, she’s the character I’d love to play :)) Really sarcastic with an acid tongue. Seems fun to be for a day π But I really want Gone to be turned into a movie, waiting for it! π
Comment by Nadine — December 9, 2009 @ 7:48 am
Quinn Alex Pettyfer
Edilio (Mark Indelicato)(Nathan Kress)
Caine Logan Lerman
Dekka Keke Palmer
Breeze Annasophia Robb
Taylor Bonnie Wright / Debby Ryan
Jack Alexander Gould
John Jimmy Bennett
Lana Jodelle Ferland
Zil Cameron Bright
These are my suggestions. The ones in () are ones I wasnt sure on π
Comment by Magnus — December 15, 2009 @ 11:16 am
Nah, dude. Don’t use already really famous people like the Disney’s. Like the dude in the book cover as Sam, he’s hot.
Comment by Breanna — December 16, 2009 @ 7:54 pm
Oh my gosh Alex Pettyfer is amazing i love him he should be in more movies and also FINISH THE ALEX RIDER SERIES I MEAN REALLY FINISH THEM!!!!
Comment by Alyssa Rogers — December 17, 2009 @ 9:45 am
OMG that would be so awesome if Gone was made into a movie. I would freaking die! It’s my favorite book of all time! I can’t wait for Lies to come out. Also if it is made into a movie I think Annasophia Robb should play Astrid. I think she’d be perfect for the part.
=]
Comment by Caris — December 22, 2009 @ 6:57 pm
Alex Pettyfer? He’s at least 20 now! Waay to old and zero talent! I agree not to use famous people, use unknowns so they don’t get boredafter one film. I want them to make all the books.
Plus I said Sterling Knight as a kind of guide rather than for definite.

Comment by josie — December 31, 2009 @ 9:45 pm
I agree with Josie and Natalie. There are only so many talented teen actors and actresses out there. The majority of them are from disney or nickolodeon and people see them everyday. Why not hold open auditions so that people from all over can attempt to get a part? This will allow the movie (if made into a movie) to be truly unique and will make it a huge success.
Comment by katie — January 2, 2010 @ 10:25 pm
I really want this to be turned into a film. I dont think that really famous people should be used. the actors on the covers should be asked to act, they already kinf od portray the image that we have in our heads.
If the producers were to choose random people through auditions, I would DEFINITELY audition. I’d love to be able to play Lana, Astrid or Diana.
I really hope it gets turned into a film, it’s be a hit!!!

Comment by Tara Asare — February 3, 2010 @ 2:37 pm
the gone sreies is supossed to have 6 books
1)gone 2)hunger 3)lies 4)plauge 5)darkness 6)light
a movie would be awsome times 22 billion
yet a tv series would be good too ONLY if they play it frequently like 2 episodes or 1 hour per week
also Plauge seems cool! their is bound to be some kind of sickness…not like i want anyone to die…
Comment by kennyd — February 6, 2010 @ 7:57 pm
Also if their were to be a show, do you people think it should be on? like channel wise
Anyone?
Comment by kennyd — February 6, 2010 @ 8:01 pm
I am 18 years old. A senior in high school. And I have fallen in love with this series. These books, portraying the lives of hundreds of preteens to babies, is a work of art, and creates a generation gap bridge builder from Lord of the Flies to the present.
It was only four months ago that I read LOTF for my english class, though I had previously read it, and I have to say that this series portrays the situation of kids in complete isolation perfectly. It shows the harsh reality of not only society, but of humankind.
Even though, as we all know, movie and book adaptions never turn out how we would like them to (due to numerous reasons), I think this would be amazing to see this book series turned into a movie and come to life. Also, I agree with Michelle. If this is going to be done right, they have to bring in some fresh faces. No big names for these characters. It just wouldn’t be right.
As for the comment about it turned into a tv series, I think that would be amazing, however, I’m scared that it would turn into the next “LOST”. It might not be as compatible if put on a small screen, especially with the technicalities involved to bring the book and it’s creations alive. So my vote: movie.
I CAN’T WAIT for this to come out on the big screen…or at least I hope….
Comment by diazf — February 7, 2010 @ 12:43 am
Ooh TV show, never thought of that but I actually think that wud b way better than a movie cos then they wont cut loads of this FANTASTIC book out!
Comment by Elodie — February 9, 2010 @ 5:07 pm
Finally! i thought everyone was done or bored of talking about gone and hunger. glad i was wrong
The comment by diazf was awsome + true, yet a tv series would allow a lot more things to happen. Maybe even some grusume scenes like when drake shot sam in the knee. its not that bad compared to other shows and movies.
Umm some stuuff you might want to know is that i got all 3 0f my 3 teachers to read gone and hunger this past month. I’m 14 so it was awsome to have them talk to me about the series. 1 of my teachers was so angry about how gone anded that she demanded reading the next one. it was funny
Anyway, keep writing.

Comment by sarah — February 28, 2010 @ 4:43 pm
Please no superstars for the main roles. Take time to find people that accually look like the characters. I’m a huge fan of the Gone series and I would hate to see some Disney Channel actor play a beloved character. And frankly no star I have ever heard of comes close to resembling any character in the series.
Comment by Eliza — March 2, 2010 @ 10:18 pm
Just curios,
Is there going to be another book beyond Lies? If there is it would be fantastic. I could not stand to see such a wonderful series come to a close.
Comment by Eliza — March 2, 2010 @ 10:24 pm
Eliza, yes, there are going to be 6 books total for the Gone Series:
1. Gone
2. Hunger
3. Lies
4. Plague
5. Darkness
6. Light
They are all going to be released once every year. Michael Grant has apparently already finished Plague (and has submitted it for editing stages) and is now working on Darkness.
For those that are still discussing this topic, you can discuss it more in depth at our Forum here, including the series and not just the movie: http://www.hiracdelest.com/community-status.htm
Comment by Issam — March 2, 2010 @ 10:37 pm
I think a Gone movie would be amazing, as long as they didn’t cut out the important parts. Like, they can’t cut out the scene with the ‘freaks’ (and Sam, Astrid, and the gang) in the concrete blocks or any scenes like that. I also agree that they should’t use the big-face actors. I like the people on the original cover. I’d like to play Brianna actually . . .

YESS!! GONE has to be made into a movie!! If it isn’t, I’m going to be ticked. GONE was the most amazing, adventurous, thrilling, awesome book I’ve read. I think I might like it better than Harry Potter or Twilight. I can’t wait for LIES to come out!! But, the characters for the movie can’t be big stars. They should most definitly be the people from the book cover.(Like I said before π ) They look perfect for the characters. WOO! TEAM CAINE!!!
Comment by Jaden — March 8, 2010 @ 5:33 pm
Thanks so much, Issam. I appreciate it. I love Gone and I think Lies is going to be amazing! I can’t believe there are going to be so many books. No complaints though…
Comment by Eliza — March 11, 2010 @ 6:26 pm
No offense Jaden.. but i have to disagree on the characters for the movie being the people on the covers of the books… They aren’t pretty or cute enough. Sam and Caine are supposed to be really hot. And Diana and Astrid are supposed to be really gorgeous.. so i just have to disagree there. The people on the covers are not attractive.. like they’re supposed to be. So that’s just my opinion.
Comment by Haley — March 11, 2010 @ 6:28 pm
As “cute” as some people say Sterling Knight is I have to say that he would be awful as any character in the movie. One, because of the lack of talent. And two, because he does not resemble, in any way, the characters in the book.
Comment by Eliza — March 11, 2010 @ 6:38 pm
I do agree that making a movie of Gone would temporarily disrupt the image we create in our head. But I also think it would be so much fun. The Harry Potters were so much fun to go see at midnight. I remember going with my friends and dressing up. I still think of Harry the same way I did before I saw the movies. It was hard, though to get that image back. I, and I hope others, are willing to make that commitment to see what Gone would look like in theaters
Comment by Eliza — March 11, 2010 @ 6:45 pm
TEAM SAM!!!!! See? I can do it too.
Comment by Linea — March 11, 2010 @ 6:46 pm
I think Gone would be better off as a TV series.
But it would be best till all the books are out I reckon. But then that won’t be till 2013 at least!
Comment by The-Gaiaphage — March 12, 2010 @ 8:09 am
I think that Gone would be a better movie than a T.V. series because if it became a T.V. series they would have to keep adding on to the story. Also, it would take a while for them to finish the story and I think that people who have read the series would get tired of waiting for the next episode to come out. It would also be easier for people who have not read the book yet to stay clear of having the book be given away if it was a movie.
Comment by Eliza — March 12, 2010 @ 7:51 pm
Please amke gone a movie!!!!!!! It could be the next Harry Potter or Twilight!

i’ve got an idea for the trailer of book 2, hunger.
they could be driving in an suv with depressing tune in the back ground and a narrator is going “three months have passed… no food…” end then EZ picks a cabage. sam screams no and then the zekes come!
Comment by Yousuf Anwer — March 25, 2010 @ 10:24 am

Yousuf Anwer, i think thats a good idea for a hunger trailer, though i still think the should get really started on gone. I would love to audition too. Comment by ines — April 6, 2010 @ 9:50 pm
I would be SO HAPPY if you made Gone into a film =D A TV series would be awesome, too ~ but I think the fans of the book might get a little annoyed with waiting for the next episode to come out, but you could fit so much more into a series than a movie XD
I know in lots of films they cut out an awful lot of the book to make it fit a certain time, and I seriously hope they wouldn’t do that for Gone XD
Well, that’s my opinion, I suppose XD
Comment by Bethan — April 7, 2010 @ 6:08 am
Gone would be a cool movie. I wouldn’t like it to be like Twilight. Because Twilight used known actors and Twilight has haters. I don’t want it to be like Harry Potter either because though popular the Harry Potter movies seem to be straying further away from the book with each movie. I think that they should keep most, if not all, elements of the book in. It would most likely be rated higher than PG-13 (or 12’s if you’re in Ireland like me.) But it would be well worth it. It would also be interesting to see what they could do with a TV show. (Word of advice to the people writing the film/show.) Don’t pull a Percy Jackson and cut all the important/interesting parts out of the movie. Because that might make me hunt you down.
XD
I agree with Bethan. (Salutes Bethan.)

Definitely make gone a movie. Anyone sane would.
Comment by Anonymous — April 20, 2010 @ 9:35 pm
No. They’d ruin it. I really want it, sort of. But the movie makers never take the book seriously. They do their own thing and don’t care what the fans think. Remember Harry Potter? Twilight? Ella Enchanted? Inkheart? Percy Jackson? The list could go on. Since it’s mostly kids, we would end up with a bunch of Disney Channel actors. Either that or they would pull a Percy Jackson and make them in their 20s or something, which would totally ruin it. The plot would be messed up and barely recognizable. The characters wouldn’t come across right, the script would be lame, the special effects would be the only good part. If they could by some miracle do it right, I would want it so badly. But since they never get it right, no. No way.
Comment by Lizzie — April 22, 2010 @ 6:06 pm
A gone movie-if done carefully-would be excelent, but a TV series, nah. I just can’t picture how the episodes would work.
The movie though, if there were no extremely famous people in it and possibly the people on the cover as their characters, that would be SWEET!!! And for the roles like Briana and Dekka and the rest of them, if there was open auditions(not just in America, but in Canada too) for teens that are actually the right age and not like 20. That would make the movie really good.
I agree with Orla (#89) that they should deffinatly not pull a Percy Jackson on the movie. I was a huge fan of all the books but the movie made me soooooooo MAD! Please, if you make a movie, don’t let that happen.
When I read really good books like Gone, the characters stick with me and I can’t get them out of my head. I think about them so much. I analize every scene, seeing how things would pan out if someone would say something differently or do something differently.
Argh!Sam Astrid Quinn Edilio Dekka Caine Daina Drake Briana Jack, I CANNOT GET YOU OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!!!!!
Comment by The Breeze — April 23, 2010 @ 6:48 pm
Yeah, the movie wouldn’t be as good as the book they never are, but that what makes the book even better and it would be awesome to go see. Plus when you read a book like Harry Potter then watch the film it’s fun to pick out whats been missed.
Comment by Ash — April 25, 2010 @ 11:22 am
I know that it’s set in America, but I’ve always imagined Caine as having an English accent! The movie should be good, but I hope they don’t make it as gory as the book, especially with Lana’s arm. That was freaky.
I don’t think it should be a TV series, seeing as anyone could watch it and it might give little kids nightmares, plus I live in Australia and don’t have pay TV, so I would probably miss out. π
Comment by Edge Chronicles Fan — April 25, 2010 @ 8:58 pm
I love gone and Hunger there so amazin!! I wish they would make it into a movie, but i agree with #101 I would not watch it if it was gory! If they did make a movie they should hold auditions in loads of places like america and the UK and get the right people in stead of the famous ones!
I wish they would release Lies in the Uk sooner I’m so excted, a year is SOOOO long to have to wait!!!!

I would be so excited if you made Gone into a movie. It would be awsome if they used a cast of new people. The big stars aren’t half as cool.
I would absolutely love it if they made a movie no matter who was in it though.
Michael Grant is the best author ever. I have all the books in the series. I go through them in like two days. So, I reread them over and over again. I’m such a bookworm. π
Comment by Kate H. — May 19, 2010 @ 9:16 pm
A movie/tv series would be awesome! I personally thing that they should use unknown actors for the movie, because then you could watch it and be like “Oh no Sam!” instead of being like “hey, its the guy from disney channel!” They should defiently not use any “actors” (and I use that term loosely.) from disney channel or any from any kid or teen television show/movie. That would ruin the entire series, because half of those people have no acting skill what so ever.
I just thought I would comment on this too, whoever said that Keke Palmer should play Dekka, I have one question for you: Are you F-in on drugs??
Comment by emmy — May 21, 2010 @ 6:55 pm
I would be so happy if this book were made into a movie, but i think a T.V. series would be awesome because there’s so mcuh that goes on in the book, that the movie could miss details and make it disappointing to people who love the books. A T.V. series would be able to hit more of the little deatils from the book. As far as actors, i think alex pettyfer for the part of Drake, Dylan Patton for the part of sam, selena gomez for Diana, meghan jette martin as astrid.
Comment by Cassie — May 23, 2010 @ 9:58 am
I would die if this ever became a movie or a TV show!!!!!! This book def has to be relized for what it is!!!!!! I think it should be an open casting call to regular teens thou….no disney actors, disney actors suck! but yah whoever said keke palmer should play Dekka your truley on crack!!!1 you kneed some on who is way tougher without being like idk…..her. but Dekka has spunk and carisma. Shes tough and she needs to be played by someone who can betray that. Not keke palmer. Dekka is AMAZING!!! but yah if it was a movie i would freak out so bad. I say do it!

It would be totally awesome if they make it into a movie. Not a show, because I would always miss it. They ddfenitely need perfect people to play the parts of Sam, Astrid, Caine, Diana, and Quinn. They have to use the guy on the cover as Sam or someone as hot as him!!!!!!!!

I believe that this is a great opprotunity for more people to get informed on this amazing and sinister book series created by the godly, Michael Grant. For the actor problem that alot of people are talking about, I think that it would not be a problem because there aren’t any adult roles, I think it would just be an even better opprotunity for younger, aspiring actors to make it into their big break. The Gone series are without a doubt my favorite book series ever and I would very much love to see it be made into a movie. It could be very very VERY huge (dare do i say it but yes even bigger than the Twilight Saga movies) GONE ALL THE WAY!

Has anyone even considered who would direct the gone movie? I think stephen speilberg and michael bay should team up again for this movie. michael bay is great with special effects amd could make everyone’s mutant powers look good as well as the battle scenes, like the thanksgiving day battle or the battle with drake merwin at the power plant.stephen speilberg has the experience like when he directed the stunning E.T. or the action packed transformers movies. Do you agree?

Sterling knight should defiantly NOT be caine! He has a freaky smile. I think the actors should look like the people on the cover.
Comment by Bob — June 23, 2010 @ 11:49 am
I think Guy Ritchie would work really well to direct the Gone movies. He did the Sherlock Holmes movie and is very good at working with the dark tones that are scene in the book. I dont think sterling knight would work as Caine I think he might work better as Sam because when he is composed and doesnt show emotion he looks very bland which isnt Caine at all. I know that this seems very odd but I have been told I look like the Diana from the cover of the books if anyone really cares to know. Cause as I was reading I was able to match up most characters besides her. But I love the books soooooo much π
Comment by Kiana — June 24, 2010 @ 7:55 pm
Just don’t let them do an Eragon/Lightning Thief type flop! Please! I’m BEGGING YOU ON MY KNEES!!! Too many of my favorite books are being twisted and mangled almost beyond recognition on screen! It would be so incredibly awesome to finally have a book-movie adaption that actually closely followed the book! If this movie gets messed up…
Comment by David — June 26, 2010 @ 6:50 pm
I really, really want this movie to come out because Gone was such an amazing book (same as the whole series). But I feel like this movie would be twisted into something stupid and nothing like the book. Like I’m gonna get pumped about this movie and Hollywood would screw it over. I agree with David
Comment by Kiani — June 30, 2010 @ 2:47 pm
well, kiana, its mentioned several times throughout the books that sam is very nonsecretive with his emotions. besides, no emotion is diferent than trying to stay low.
also, sterling knight, as pointed out earlier, is not in the right age group. sorry, but ya gotta follow the books guidelines if you dont want the movie to flop.
this is the BEST SERIES EVER!!!!! i DO NOT wanna see it screwed up, thats all…
Comment by Andrew — July 1, 2010 @ 8:45 am
In the book Astrid makes a comparison between Caine and Sam saying that Caine always has this confidence and this brovado (Im pretty sure I spelt that wrong) and Sam doesnt really have that. Sam is more real I guess you could say. Are you really saying that Sam doesnt show emotion because I believe he does. Not meaning to be rude. Sterling Knight does the show Sunny with a chance and he plays someone who is about 15 years old in that show. So I didnt know that he was that old. Sorry for not being a stalker. I also think that the director that did the first pirates of the carribean movie would work well as a director. Just saying.
Comment by Kiana — July 1, 2010 @ 9:35 pm
I think that for an adaptation of the books to be successful the characters/animals and location could all be changed to attract the majority. Imagine a graphic darker version of the book. And a darker setting too, imagine the book set in a big city, you could still stay true to the central plot but there’d be so much more room for expansion rather than a small town. I’d personally like to see the movies made for an older audience. If it was ever made I certainly hope they wouldn’t go all ‘Twilight’ on us. I want to see a mature director and cast. Personal preference would be the guys behind Kick-Ass. It was a movie about kids for adults. It was gripping, dark, funny, violent and had an exceptional soundtrack to match. Wishful thinking, I’d choose any of the following to helm the project; Zack Snyder (300, Watchmen), J J Abrams (Star Trek), Matthew Vaughn (Kick Ass, Snatch) or Quentin Tarantino. I’m sick of books being butchered when they’re turned into movies. The story is fantastic but not ideal for the big screen. We shouldn’t be afraid of change but embrace it. If some creative minds came together and loosely based a movie on the books, ‘Gone’ could be the next mega franchise.
Comment by Hugh — July 2, 2010 @ 1:41 am
I think you should not make it into a TV series it would ruin it , imagine Twilight as a TV series or Harry potter, it makes me shiver.
You want this Saga to be up there with Twilight and Harry Potter and I KNOW it will!!!
Soooooo excited buying the Hunger Book soon coz all the hardbacks have been soldout in the UK so I have to wait till september untill the publisher prints some mooorrreee!!!!
Comment by Jesse — July 3, 2010 @ 3:45 pm
This would make SUCH a cool movie! I spent a while looking up if it was going to be made into a movie, and then I found this web-site and I looked at the Michael Grant video and saw that this might be made into a movie. I got SOOOOO excited.
I agree with everyone who said that the people on the front and back cover would be PERFECT for the part. Sam and Astrid on the cover would be AMAZING! The only other option that I think would be cool for Sam is the person who played Percy Jackson in ‘the Lighning Thief’. That would be cool. On the back cover, the dude with the black hair and Coates uniform is Caine, for sure. But I’m not sure who the girl to the left of him (Caine’s right) is? Could you tell me if you know?
Please commen when you know when the movie is being made or (even better) coming out. Thanks!
Comment by Bridget — July 4, 2010 @ 11:53 am
All i have too say is alot of those actors are older and look older. i TOTALLY agree with you on Logan lerman to play caine. That would be pretty understandible. That would actually work out really well. <3 Dekka…My favorite character in the book, should not be played by keke palmer! i think she's to i don't know, less getto. I think that if a movie was made you have to get a real black girl to play her. yes i'm black and i would actually love to play her. I agree with what alot of these people said, you cant have big stars really acting in this. You get the coming out stars. I think Brianna should be Chloe Moretz. Sam is hard to cast or even give a face to a name. Quinn seems like he should be laid back but you know the typical surfer physic if you'd say. Cayden Boyd would be good for either Sam or Quinn. I think thou it would be great to do the Auditions in the states but still have those actors from hollywood. THIS WOULD BE A GREAT MOVIE, if done correctly.

I think this movie would be great no matter what. But I’ve never heard of Chloe Moretz or Cayden Boyd. Are they in any popular movies? And, I do think that the people on the front and back covers would be great for the film, but the problem is… those people are most likely models, not actors. But they still would be great for the part if any of them have some acting experience.
Can’t wait for the movie!!!! β₯β₯β₯β₯β₯βΊ

I don’t think Sterling Knight should play anyone in this movie. He’s too old and if he were to play Sam, the book describes sam waaaaay different than Sterling Night.
Comment by Bridget — July 7, 2010 @ 10:10 am
Sterling Knight should NOT NOT NOT!!! Be Caine. Caine is described to have dark eyes, dark hair. Sorry, Sterling, but he is blonde and has blue eyes. In ‘Sonny With a Chance’ Sterling Knight passes off for 16 or 17. He’d have to pass for 14 which I don’t think he can do, considering his actual age. I’m not trying to put him down, but I don’t think he’s right for the part.

Only a few things are required to make this a perfect movie.
1)NO BIG NAMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2)Good director.
3)Good soundtrack
4)Open auditions for every character before you pick, in multiple countries.
5)ME! (haha jk… although, if you hold auditions on the East Coast of Cananda I would deffinatly try out)
It has fantastic potential, it just needs those four things[or five;)]. Good luck, Michael!!! I seriously hope this works out.

Sterling Knight shouldnt be aloud anywhere near the movie in my opinion. But I think that this would be a good oppritunity for young aspiring actors and actresses to really try and make it into such a rough business. I think that this particular project calls for some major open casting calls all over the United States at the very least. The kids in the books are like everyday kids. so who better to play them than us everyday kids?
Comment by Kiana — July 8, 2010 @ 2:08 am
Yeah, I agree with Kiana. Everyday kids = everday kids! we know what it’s like (the everyday kids part, not our parents disapearing behind a inpenitrable wall:)) but most of us might not have some acting experience.
Carly-
i looked at a pic of Chloe, TOTALLY! She would be PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT for Brianna, I think. Cayden Boyd… I dunno. It’s a possobilty. buy definiatly an option.

I think it would be better as an awesome and fast paced movie rather than a tv series. the first book takes place in like 11 or 12 days and idk how that could possibly be made into a tv series and then the second two have even shorter time spans. Idk how Lies could be a like a season because its less than a week. I dont think it would be possible.

Sorry, *the next three will be titled…*

I’m sorry to upset some people, but I twittered Michael grant asking him about a movie/tv deal and he said “The movie is not likely. They want adult characters. I don’t have any.” π I’m upset about it, but at least we have 3 more books in the series to be excited about. I still hope something will happen, although I would probably want it to be a tv miniseries, like “The Pillars of the Earth”. Mostly because miniseries are usually more faithful to the books, and they would be able to fit everything in the show, instead of having to cram and leave some things out which would happen with a movie. Either way though, I would really love for them to have open auditions nationwide for the parts. I think it would really be fun to play the part of Diana, and I know a lot of people would also love to play parts, or at least be given the chance to audition. Also, I would hate to see a known actor play any part in the adaption, and there are a lot of undiscovered talented people that would end up doing a better job. But hopefully, something (either a movie or tv miniseries) will be made.

I just finished this book and am dying to get my hands on the second book!! and it would be even greater if a movie would come out! im sick of the vampires! make a movie series that doesnt involve vampires!!! (hint, hint) (;
Comment by Brianna — August 5, 2010 @ 7:09 am
omg i just read the book and it is amazing! it should totally be a tv series or movie but hopefully not to much gore should be in it. i also would like people who actually look like the people in the book. (movies and tv shows usually kill the characters actual appeal). I really want them to use actual special effects; for each of the kids powers.e.g drake and his whip hand, sam with his sammy lights etc. etc. Hopee this becomes a awesomee moviee! hahaa and i agree with you brianna. SO sick of vampires!
Comment by Zehra — August 6, 2010 @ 9:49 pm
Please make gone as a movie! I really loved the book!!
Comment by Silje — August 7, 2010 @ 8:15 am
I think that if Gone was turned into a moie or a television series, it would go one of two ways for me. Either it would be even more amazing than the books, (which is hard to believe) or it could completely ruin the way that i invisioned those characters and would not be a success in my eyes. However, if it is sucessful i think it would be wonderful for the story to be forever remembered because I just can’t get enough of the fayz.

Comment by hailey — August 11, 2010 @ 10:15 pm
yeah it would totally work as a movie just so long as they dont skimp and get shitty acters and b-grade sets and effects and shit. if ur gunna do it go 100%!
Comment by gilbert — August 16, 2010 @ 4:28 am
this was the most amazing book ever i’m 13 i read gone but then i coulndt get the next books for a while when i finally got them i read both in just a week! i really hope gone is going to be a movie cuz it totally deservers to be a movie and i bet it will have a top rank when it hits movie theatres
Comment by Maddy Nykolaishyn — August 16, 2010 @ 9:55 am
Yeah, this book would be a great movie. If any known actors are put in, I couldn’t picture them as one of the charecters. Say, if Emily Osment were to play Astrid, I couldn’t picture her as Astrid, I would picture her as Lily from Hannah Montana. Many talente people are out there, and they want a chance to go to the big time. I REALLY hope this will be a movie. It’s my favorite book EVER! I β₯ GONE!!!!
Comment by Bridget — August 17, 2010 @ 4:25 pm
Gone was my all time favorite book. but im not sure they should make it into a movie unless it has some killer effects(for like their powers)and if they had amazing actors and didnt change much at all. if they had the people that pose for Sam,Astrid,Caine,Diana etc. on the book covers as the said charactars,it would be awesome!!! but if its not good, it might change the way i think of the book, like the twilight movies did to the books for me. I <3 the Gone Series!
Comment by Claudia — August 18, 2010 @ 10:22 pm
I think a movie would be much better and more memorable than a TV series. A TV series would be too spread out.
Comment by Evan — August 27, 2010 @ 2:00 pm
This is who i think should play the characters:
Sam – William Moseley
Astrid – Annasophia Robb
Pete – Ty Panitz
Caine – Sterling Knight
Diana – Kaya Scodelario
Drake – Jamie Campbell Bower
Orc – Cameron Bright
Albert – Malcolm David Kelley
Lana – Saoirse Ronan
Now, im aware that these kids don’t look exactly like the ones on the book cover. I chose them based on their acting ability, and how good they were at similar roles to their character… Debate!
P.S. they might have to gain/lose weight or change hair color. do not let something that simple be a deciding factor.
Comment by myles — August 28, 2010 @ 12:45 am
oh btw i should add that i am a film maker… and unless you have an adult cast, your not going to have a movie. The actors i have listed do look slightly too old for the roles so the age limit on the fayz might have to be pushed to 16 for the movie. DONT KILL ME. Changes have to be made for a movie to be successful. I also believe the director should be Bryan Singer (Director of X-men 1&2)
It will be an extremely difficult to get a cast of young people to perform at theater quality. That is most likely the reason that production companies are shying away from Michael Grant on the idea. Also, for all of you who want the people on the cover to play the roles, those are models not actors. In additon, “No names” can not headline a movie, Hollywood just won’t buy it. Plus, open casting around the country would be entirely to expensive.
I do not mean to sound pessimistic, but i work in this industry and that’s just how things are (unfortunately). Best wishes to you Michael Grant, if this is done correctly it could be the next Lord of the Flies.

But i woluld really love to see a animorph movie. I used to be into the books myself and i never really got back into it because i didnt see it going anywhere. But, anyways, i love the gone book. The best book series ive ever read. Please publish the next one already. Im dying of anisipation.
Comment by jake — September 18, 2010 @ 10:34 pm
Turn the gone series into a tv series. You can put alot more into it and there are alot of places in the book you could leave off at for the end of a show. Plus, each seson could be a book. Gone Season 2:Hunger,ect.
Comment by Mario55436 — September 19, 2010 @ 12:08 am
I LOVE GONE!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think it should be a movie, not a serie. and the actors could be the people on the cover and the back of the books and im the cast you all proposed (except the ones that are as genius as me) is all wrong. The movie needs to be a movie with a big budget because of the powers and the fights. Also because of the disapearance of the evryone of 14 (i think) and up. Even though I read the books in french(IM FROM QUEBEC!!!!!!) i love them and cant wait ot read lies and company. My favorite character from the book is Brianna or Pete, im still not sure.
Comment by Cam. — September 21, 2010 @ 7:46 pm
i think you should make it a movie. but with regular people like me i like to play mary or lana seriosly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! make sure to say something back to me btw im 12 so i could fit the part for lana or mary and i have brown soo yea . ps i have no exeperience but i will work hard !!!!!!!!!!!

you should make the three boks into a movie it would be awsome.
Comment by solange — September 30, 2010 @ 10:14 am
TV series would be awesome because you wouldn’t have to cut loads out – as long as they stuck 2 the books, Movies of kids’ books almost always suck and movies of book series ALWAYS suck.
TV series – as long as stupid American TV producers don’t cancel it after 1 season – producers are so stupid in America they cancel good shows and leave awful shows going. Wouldn’t happen in the UK, when i went there their drama was always real quality.

I would so like to play like Astrid or somthing I love acting and have been to like acting camp + I’ve took courses and everything!. If you ceck this website out and are the director please contact me! I’m serious!!!.
Comment by Shay — October 1, 2010 @ 7:27 pm
I think that Gone would work better as a T.V. series. So many movies based off of a book or T.V. series leave a lot out. If it was a show it would allow more story to be told and it would be awesomely EPIC!!!!
Comment by Matt Wicks — October 2, 2010 @ 7:56 pm
i really think you should make Gone into a movie
Gone is the best books i have EVER read! and im reading quiet a lott!!!!
Comment by bendik — October 5, 2010 @ 8:49 am
Ok, Gone was seriouslly the most amazing book I have ever read! I love thew drama and excitement in the book. I’m planning on going to Barnes and Noble tonight or tomorrow to purchase Hunger. And when I’m done reading that I’ll be on to Lies! I hope Gone gets made into a movie. Taylor Lautner could play Edilio. That would be awesome! I like the idea of a TV show, somebody else had commented that. Michael Grant is a brilliant writer (I want to be a a writer too). For a school project, I’m making a board game out of Gone. It’s going to be like “help Sam get to the finish line before he runs out of time and he poofs!” Thank goodness he doesn’t poof in the book though haha.
Comment by Natasha — October 7, 2010 @ 6:38 pm
Omfg if gone became a movie I would soooo camp out infront of the movie theater just to be one of the first to see it..
P.s. I don’t think that if you had a while bunch of teenagers doing a tv show would work with puberty and all that fun stuff with the age range and what not the characters would change and might not be able to do the next season and then it’s either replace the person or cancel the show and either way it will suck if you cancel it or change the actor
Comment by Arianna — October 10, 2010 @ 1:09 am
i think Caine would/should be played by Reed Alexander. That’s how I picture Caine. So, I think whoever this Sterling Knight guy is, he shouldn’t be Caine! I hope the town of Perdido Beach keeps its original design. (the last few pages of each book has a map) Otherwise, my whole idea is messed up :b
I have no clue who should be who (Apart from Caine, who BTW is really cool!) but if this film is to be made, it should be released about this time 2011, or 2012. (its 2010 now) The same w/ a tv show. Tnx! -The Character you never hear about

Comment by Fanny — October 19, 2010 @ 4:36 am
It would make a very good movie if they make it true to the book but the problem is taht is such a huge book! and making it into to movies may be easier but there aren’t exactly a lot of places to split it into two so i think a TV series wuold be better if you had like 26 episodes (1 a week).
Comment by Harry Marshall — October 20, 2010 @ 6:16 am
a movie is more important because a tv series has many restrictions and i see
canine as the guy who plays malfoy in harry potter π

Comment by ben(-hur) — October 23, 2010 @ 4:44 pm
Ok guys: not to be rude, but, reality check! Go up to the 197 and 198 comment by ‘myles’. it says he is a film maker and he has a LOT of good stuff to say. And sterling knight should NOT NOT NOT!!! play caine or ANY ONE! i’m sorry but he just doesn’t fit anything in the book at all. I’m not trying to b rude or mean or anything but… It would acrually be a better idea to make it a tv series because they wouldnt leave a billion things out, they could make each book a different series (like Mario 55436 said) and it would sort of (depending on how they play it out) serve the book(s) justice. I never actually read Inkheart, but I heard the movie ruined the book. If this book was made into either a movie or a tv series (preferrably a tv series) it could be as huge as Harry Potter. Which I read and was the best book series in the world! I haven’t finished the GONE series but I bet it’ll either be tied or… IDK but it’s gonna be up there in the top 2! Harry Potter the movie will be coming out November 19, 2010. The 7 movie, to be exact. I CAN’T WAIT FOR GONE TO BE A MOVIE OR TV SERIES IF IT IS MADE INTO EITHER ONE!!! Ooooh please oh please oh PUH-LEASE!!! make gone into a movie or series of television;). It could be a MAJOR hit!! Please seriously consider iT! I’m a HUH-YUGE FANNNN!

Comment by Jocelyn — October 24, 2010 @ 7:06 pm
i think a tv sseries woujld be better as there would be more detaiill on the book and less skipping of the good parts, sure , amovie would have more fans, but i think it would be a bit like misfits or heroes which are really popular!
Comment by ell123123 — October 27, 2010 @ 7:22 am
Yeah, at first i thought i DID NOT want a TV series, but then I realized that, yes, there would be more detail, there would be more of them π and each season could be a book. Such as:
Season 1: GONE
Season 2: HUNGER
ECT. ECT….
Love and Hugs!!!
Comment by Bridget — October 27, 2010 @ 8:02 pm
I really loved the series! Umm, if the director sticks to the book and doesnt change a lot of things then it would be an amazing movie! I hate it when directors change the book!

This would be awesome as a movie or TV series.
If a TV series, they should get more no-named actors so that it doesn’t get boring.
If a movie, bring a few recognisable actors into it so that people will feel like they already know the characters in a round about way.

Best. Idea. Ever.
I thought Twilight was the best book ever but step aside!
I bought the book originally only because the yellow pages caught my eye, i needed a book for my holiday so i decided to go for it, i spent 3 weeks in California and hoped to strech it out but only managed to stretch it over about 3 days because it was so frikkin amazing!
I’ve just read hunger now and can’t wait to read lies π
A movie would be the best thing ever, and as a budding actress i would love the idea of ‘nobody’s’ being cast in it *wink wink* All of the three girls parts i find amazingly interseting, Lana, Astrid and Diana.
Bring on the movie for Gone and don’t stop!
Please please Michael keep on writing those books!
Lots of love, Sammi π

Please make the GONE series into a movie!!NOT a TV show!I LOVE the books! They’re the best books ever!I can’t wait for Plague to come out!If you can’t figure who plays the characters, why not just get the guys in the cover of the books to make the movie???I think they’re perfect:D!Or at least they look perfect! What are they’re names anyway? The guy in the cover as Caine looks HOT. He should definitely be Caine in the movie(NOT tv show). He’s my fav character:)))Or have an open casting because people from Disney pretty much suck. It would be cool if the movie had brand new actors! It would be so much better than old actors/actresses. Contact me if you need someone for the movie PLEASE;)
And myles(from comments #197 and 198)none of your requests are even close to the characters in the book and they could not pass as fourteen year olds, in other words you suck.No offense:)

I got gone hunger and lies for christmas and have finished gone and am halfway threw hunger THEY NEED TO MAKE A MOVIE not a tv show.no big stars we need new people we have never heard of or seen before.they can not leave out bits out like rhe church wall falling down and stuff like that
Comment by chris — December 28, 2010 @ 2:42 pm
I agree with everyone that the cast should be people we dont know and it should be a movie but they might cut out parts of it… π
They should let ordinary people audition cuz id like to be Dekka (if she wasnt lesbian)or Orsay π
Comment by celine — December 29, 2010 @ 6:44 pm
And I live in England so HOPEFULLY they would audition people here..
Comment by celine — December 29, 2010 @ 6:48 pm
I have been thinking about it and i don’t think that anyone overly famous should star in it; we need some new talented stars to shine through! I think instead of Annasophia Robb as Breeze maybe her as Astrid(somebody way above suggested her to play breeze number 25 was the comment). She kind of has that look that makes me think of Astrid.
Comment by Nala — December 30, 2010 @ 10:58 am
yes. That would be great if they did auditions in England because I and many other people would love to audition to..I would love to play as Sam.. although the possibility of playing sam would be slim..It would still be great to Audition π I’m 14 though so I would not know what age you would have to be to audition.
Comment by Daniel — December 30, 2010 @ 2:32 pm
I think a t.v show would be interesting, however it might not work well – it all depends on how they choose what will be in each episode.
A film would be awesome as well π I agree with not having loads of well known actors, but I do think it will have some as it would encourage more people who haven’t read the book to go see it. But No Disney.
I would prefer a t.v show because then you can continue to watch it and it wont be as likely to die out as a film is. I don’t think Annasophia Robb should be Astrid, i dont know why she just doesnt fit for me XD
Comment by Low — December 30, 2010 @ 2:42 pm
I have adored the Gone, Hunger and Lies books and I think that it would make a great movie exept it might be a bit difficult with the whole Drake thing and flying snakes and all that. also it wouldn’t be a kid movie at all cause of the violence and stuff, so that might not work. but I would definitely go see it! If it was well done it would be awesome as!
Comment by Kiara — December 30, 2010 @ 8:13 pm
Just seen the interview with Habbo. Man it makes me really sad that they’re having dificulty trying to get the movie going because they need adults and famous actors to get the movie going π
Comment by Daniel — December 31, 2010 @ 12:06 pm
some r saying that the people on the covers would b good for the characters (which they r). but haven’t u noticed that the people on the covers of ‘Gone’ and maybe even ‘Hunger’ are alot older now than when the pics were taken? i’m 1 for new faces.
and i just want to hear something new concerning a movie! i’v been a fan of gone since the 1st book was released, they’v got to make a movie before it fades and/or the whole series (bookwise) is realeased. but he’s only releasing 1 book or so every year…
and i wanna try out, i’d b good as Taylor or Lana. (like i said b4) and i don’t know where he lives, but he has to have auditions in the U.S and Europe at least. (i live in the U.S) he has so many fans!
Comment by kennyd — December 31, 2010 @ 2:05 pm
I’m pretty sure that every fan would like to play a part in the movie.

Come to NewZealand for Auditions for Astrid. I would be PERFECt for her. If it does become a movie, make sure that you advertise auditions world wide almost. π
Comment by Abbie — January 4, 2011 @ 9:55 pm
I think you should just leave it at books! No movies or TV shows! It would ruin its special effect. Yes, it seems like it’d be amazing with the graphics and everything, but it just takes away from the joy of the book.
Comment by Tyler — January 4, 2011 @ 11:35 pm
Also just look at some of the movies that were made after books. Some were good, but some just sucked. Gone isn’t meant to be a movie.

Comment by Nikki — January 16, 2011 @ 12:10 pm
Not to be a downer, cuz i TOTALLY want GONE and stuff to be a movie, but this whole thing (above ^) has been going on since august of ’09. If they wanted to put hundreds of thousands of dollars, possibly millions, they would’ve either 1. Made the movie or 2. at least said something about it. I’m still rooting for a TV show or movie though!!
Comment by Emily — January 17, 2011 @ 9:32 pm
hey, im back. (comments 197 &198). i would just like everyone to know that Marene (comment 264) is an idiot. all my character suggestions are awesome!! π I realize that these kids can’t pass for 14, that’s why the age for the movie should be pushed to 16…. ALSO, and more importantly i heard disney recently rejected the story, which was kind of grant’s last hope since turned down by paramount, lionsgate etc. welp, at least we have the rest of the books to look forward too!
Comment by Myles — January 18, 2011 @ 12:58 am
How about also making it an anime??? i think it would be a great hit. A 12 episode anime π
Comment by Abraham — January 18, 2011 @ 11:41 am

I think a 2 part film like Harry potter 7. to fit more of the book into it. However, be careful of the actors and the director. also have Michael Grant involved in writing the movie script.
Comment by AGoneFan — February 9, 2011 @ 4:28 pm
If they were made into movie or show thatd be awesomeeee!! And I don’t think that ‘normal’ ppl could audition because that probably costs alot of money to audition and if they were to audition all over the country and into Europe then that would cost TONS of money, though I would loovvvve to be Astrid, even though I don’t really look like her….! And Myles is very information-y. He said that disney turned him down and that was like his ‘last hope’ but I hope it’s not I want it to be made into a movie SOOO much!! or a tv show, NE things good w/ me!!
Comment by Emily — February 9, 2011 @ 5:25 pm
The moment I finished this book, it became my favorite It’s so awesome that it’s being turned into movie! I will definitely watch it. But don’t make it into a TV show. It will lose some of that… effect you can only really get in movies. I’m sooooo happyyyy!!!!!! Good luck with the movie!

It had been so fun to watch the movie if it was made and I know many would see it.I have red some of the comments, but do anyone have somthing new stuff about it? Will it be made a movie of it or not?

I’m 14 and i hate[d] reading, but when i saw this book, i just read the whole series. A lot of books that are turned into movies sometimes suck but I think Gone would be a great movie ! I don’t think it should be a TV series because it would probably just go on and on and on and people would get bored of it. Someone said, up there ^^^ that Disney rejected it, well duh. This book doesnt go along with Disney. It’s more like Sci-Fi. Well I hope it will someday be a movie !(:

I think “Gone” would be an amazing film. It would have some issues…
1. Special effects, it would ruin the effect of the book and how you think things would look like, the part that gives your a personal expiriance.
2. Characters, People will be upset that the actors dont look like they would in theyre imagination, wich is one of the things I think makes a book, “a GOOD book”
3. Fans, you would lose some, and gain some fans. Genraly, it will increase porffit and fan base. Like the effect “Harry Potter the movie” had on the book. It was far less popular when it was just a book.
——————————————————-
But to be honest you should
JUST MAKE IT INTO A FILM!
Comment by Drew — March 17, 2011 @ 2:00 pm
I think GONE is an absolutly amazing series, no doubt about it. i think that either a TV show or movie would suffice. I like the idea about having fresh faces do the acting, but i agree with myles, it would be very time consuming and expensive. As much as i think the movie/TV show will be, i dont think that they will be able to capture the character images we have or the brilliance thatt Michael has created. So i think that we should leave it untouched and unspoiled so that if they do a terrible job of the movie (which will probably be the case) the book will be just as amazing. I dont mean to be a hater or anything, but using logic and reason, this makes the most sense.
And P.S Sterling Knight would do a terrible job, no matter what role he had, most disney characters are for show- not for talent.
P.P.S actors- no matter how big the name- should play the role which they fit best!
All the best for Michael, and the future of the series, i am looking forward to all of your future works.

Yes I know, here I am again, its that it sucks so bad when producers, and the the cast of movie making do a bad job, on wich i mean, not getting the details, characters apperance, or the actors not being able to be the character that we all have in our heads. I really hate it when that happens, wich it mostly does, but a lot of time and contribution into it, i think that we can pull it off, thats if there is a movie…
Oh, and I would love to be with in the movie, I dont know who I could act best as, but many tell me to get more into the acting thing. The problem is just that I live in Sweden… Wich sucks even more!!!

This sounds awesomene! It’d be really cool if they:
A: Made it into a TV series, since they tend to be more memorable and popular.
B: Had open auditions for about 2/3 of the cast. They can’t use all original people, but if we have some new faces, they’ll be able to gain more popularity because the crowds will see the others as new, fresh faces, and in today’s industry, new faces are all the rage.
Anyway, Plague was amazing. Definitely my favorite book in the series so far- although it’s by far the most disturbing, especially if you have a fear of bugs. My best friend is terrified of them, and looked like she was about to puke when she read it.
I’d probably play Diana. I’m Spanish and everything. My only issue would be age. Damn being about a year younger than her. Wait! If they DID make it a TV show, then I could play her, because it’d come out later, and I’d have time to age while the series goes on!
Comment by Elise — April 7, 2011 @ 7:19 pm
If they made it into a movie i would probably go to the theatre to see it everyday. But they wouldn’t be able to use the models on the covers of the books because those are MODELS. Not ACTORS. Some of them could probably do it for the pay (ex. The models for sam, astrid, diana, caine, etc.) but the others might not because the pay wouldn’t be as good. But the actors who play it don’t matter- it’s the fact that they don’t screw it up and try to make all of them into one movie; that would suck (Unless it were like 20 hours long- then it’d be heaven). I really hope they :
1. Make a seperate 2 and a half hour long movie for each book.
2. Make MORE books in the series (Plague was great)
3. I kinda hope they can use the perople who model for the book covers because the way Michael Grant describes the characters in the book series looks so much like them.

Jen you are totally right. Disney actors pretty much can ruin any other movie/show that they are in. But I would really like somebody to make a Gone movie. But I think they should hire one of the best directors like Peter Jackson since his Lord of the Rings trilogy had 11 academy awards and was pretty much exactly like the books. He really puts a lot of work into his movies and they turn out amazing. He would make the Gone movies thrilling!!!:)

Hi guys! Yeah, I think it would be awesome to cast fresh faces for this series.(Disney actors/actresses make me want to claw my eyes out…) My agent (I’m an actress) has been keeping close tabs on this in case it develops into something big, but what we need to do is somehow find out how we can get the production companies to hold OPEN casting calls. This means that anyone can audition. I think that auditions should be held both in the USA and Canada. We need to try and get involved! π

Thats Sam and Astrid on the cover. On the back I think it’s Quinn and Mary, but I’m not sure. It could be Zil though…..but I can’t wait to read Plague!!!! Getting it tomorrow:D
Comment by Madi — April 22, 2011 @ 12:30 am
First of all this book can not be made into a t.v. Show. That will ruin the book series and it would end up on fucking cartoon network.
Second. The people in the book are all 14 (except for Sam, Caine, etc). We cannot have 20 year olds playing 14 year olds. Really, c’mon. and especially not already famous people.. They would for sure ruin it. I’m sorry, but I’m a real fan and I don’t want this series ruined by 12 year olds wanting Nathan Kress and Debby Ryan playing roles. Nobody would want to see it except pre-teens. A movie would be fine with under- rated actors and actresses.
I’m just so angered at some of the absurd suggestions on this page I want to cry.

I think the GONE movie will only be truly successful if they get totally unknown actors!!! to make it work they’ll have to get teenagers who have read the books, love them, and understand them!! if the actors look like the characters…………..well thats even better!! hollywood starlits are just not gonna pull this off to everyones satisfaction!! thats the mistake been made in the past!
Comment by heather — April 23, 2011 @ 11:46 am
oh and if they made it into a tv series wellt he only word to describe that would be GAY!!!!
Comment by heather — April 23, 2011 @ 11:53 am
I TOTTALY agree with Emily (comment 352)! By you do NEED 2 make a movie!!!! I’m a HUDGE FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!! But serisly, listen to Emily!!!!!
Comment by Olivia — April 23, 2011 @ 3:21 pm
352.First of all this book can not be made into a t.v. Show. That will ruin the book series and it would end up on fucking cartoon network.
Second. The people in the book are all 14 (except for Sam, Caine, etc). We cannot have 20 year olds playing 14 year olds. Really, cβmon. and especially not already famous people.. They would for sure ruin it. Iβm sorry, but Iβm a real fan and I donβt want this series ruined by 12 year olds wanting Nathan Kress and Debby Ryan playing roles. Nobody would want to see it except pre-teens. A movie would be fine with under- rated actors and actresses.
Iβm just so angered at some of the absurd suggestions on this page I want to cry.
RAGE.

348.Jen you are totally right.
Comment by Olivia — April 23, 2011 @ 3:27 pm
im still reading plague and i really love it. mainly because my fave character Dekka is still strong in this book. And you also see the strong relationship between her and sam. pretty sweet! π but emily i agree with you. If there were open casting calls i would love to play Dekka. its only my dream. lol but this would be the greatest thing made since sliced bread. ESPECIALLY if they casted new faces. held it in major cities in states. it would just be point blank awesome!!!!!!! But i hope that there is a director/production company that will combined new-teen faces and teen actors already in the business and be willing to do open casting calls. a girls can only hope.
P.S.-I think my friend would make a great lana shes cut he hair really short but i dont think that they ever say anything about lana having long hair. Lana is just a tough as chickede! and my friend would play her well

Dont make it a tv show, i guarantee you’ll lose too many audience members. Make this a movie and your gonna make a lot of money. people are gonna love it. thanks and keep us updated!!
Comment by Kalli — April 24, 2011 @ 8:51 pm
Even if Gone is made into a film, most of the auditions would be held in America and a lot of people(like me)would miss out cuz we live elsewhere(i live in England).
Micheal Grant, if you are turning the book into a film, please audition in England!!!!
Comment by celine — April 25, 2011 @ 4:46 pm
Do auditions in Australia too if this happens.

I’ve read the book a long time ago and I fell in love with it ! They should make the movie as soon as possible π I have to read more Michael Grant books π

i loved these books and it would be amazing if it was made into a movie but i dont think a t.v series would work if they did make them into movies i woul definatly try out!
Comment by bethany — April 28, 2011 @ 3:04 am
just… don’t make a movie. i am done talking to you all about a movie. it would suck. jsut keep it in your imaginations and the books will not be ruined. we all came together to the conclusion that the books rock, now we would all jsut fight once the movie came out… so no movie or tv show please and thank you.

Comment by Ashley — April 30, 2011 @ 10:06 am
Oh yeah forgot to mention, auditions in UK and US; they always miss us UK out. I think I should be Ashley and I think I’d have a pretty gone chance coz I’ve done TV acting and that and all… I’d want to be Ashley, of course, coz I’m that personality in real life plus I look like her. So, yeah, I’m all for it. They should get kids who’ve read the book also to act out sone smaller parts too to show loyalty. I think it’d be great. π

I’m not sure how old Taylor is in Gone, but she seems like a teenager. I’m 13 and Asian, and fit in her character. Meh, I’m in Australia, who would give a damn about me? I’m really seriously underweight (not trying to show off. I’m not anorexic, but I’m as thin as a matchstick. That would fit the starved role of Taylor. She can act really innocent sometimes, but then again so can I.) I would really love to be part of a movie, even with just one line. But meh, there are those who’re destined for fame, and then there’s those who aren’t.

Comment by Elifnrffdnm — May 3, 2011 @ 10:37 am
Please Mr. Grant!. the gone series turned into a movie would be the greatest movie next to harry potter! you are a fantastic author. Trust me, the movie would make tons of money!!! a tv show would be good!
Comment by Ashmash — May 3, 2011 @ 7:56 pm
Because twilight and Harry potter are the only major series and are coming to an end this would be AMAZING. please i would be sooooo happy ! π
Comment by Danielle — May 5, 2011 @ 5:08 pm
Sure, a TV series would be cool. But it would have to be on quite late so you could get some realism into it. Not just a bit of blood, The Walking Dead kinda stuff, y’know? Like realistic weapons and gore. It would suck to see this turn into the kind of rubbish that’s on TV right now, and I can easily see it turning into something all about the romance and relationships if it goes wrong. Sure for one or two eps, but not all the time. And get some better effects than in your adverts, sorry, but they are SO cheesy!

Comment by Madi — May 8, 2011 @ 1:17 am
yoou dont want people we already know as good actors to play the main parts as most of them are probably over 14 and there are short time gaps in the storys so the characters dont really age much over the time so its got to be believable…
Comment by gftrhytgh — May 8, 2011 @ 11:13 am
If There is a gone movie… people will be disapointed if the movie is not close to the book! The movie must be acuarate and can not leave any part of the book that will give clue to the following books take place. Also many of the charecters have to look like what the book describes them as if not… the audience looses interest!!!!!!
Comment by Ethan — May 8, 2011 @ 9:07 pm
I think a series should definitely be considered, although a movie would probably be more popular, either way, please consider it! I adore the entire series and cannot wait for fear to come out!

A GONE movie would be really awesome, but I agree that it would be hard to find big name actors because of the age of the characters. This movie could also seriously SUCK! GONE is a long book and a lot of things happen from start to finish; and everything that happens is important. So if the writer who adapts it into a script leaves something or someone out and isn’t true to the original story then the movie will bomb.
Comment by Mason — May 17, 2011 @ 4:43 pm

Seriously, if these books were made into mmovies I think everyone will agree that they must be at least age rating 15 above because that is the entire thrill of the books. The danger and chaos. If hollywood knock down to a 12A im sueing them! I can’t imagine this film being bad. Why can they do it for Harry Potter and not other books?! It makes me soooo angry! Choose a good director, actors, and script, DON’T CHANGE THE STORYLINE OR DO ANYTHING STUPID STICK TO THE BOOK!!! And this will be the biggest movie! Alongside Lord of the Rings. π (No pressure π )
Comment by Alex Hill — June 8, 2011 @ 2:48 pm
we all really need to stop saying we want a movie. anyone have anything interesting to say about the book? everyone gets the fact that a movie would be cool. ok, now can we talk about waht we like/dislike about the book instead of repeating ourselves over and over again?

OMG I love the gone series! if u turn it into a movie i must be told and if there are siix books so does tht mea that there will be six movies or only 3 like putting gone and hunger 2gethr and lies and plague 2gethr and darkness and light 2gethr cuz eithr way im paying for all of the movies!
Comment by Blake Young — June 10, 2011 @ 4:14 pm
To “a real fan”- I agree. People, we should start talking about something other than the fact that it would be a great movie. It’s starting to get on my nerves. How about we talk about our favorite character and why. Mine is Astrid because she is smart, pretty, and not afraid to stand up for herself or anyone else:)
Comment by Madi — June 11, 2011 @ 6:02 pm
I think that the GONE series should be made into a movie, and that with the right actors and directors and effects/settings, it will be amazing. I personaly think that one of the directors from the Harry Potter series should do this; those movies are excelent, great effects(which will be needed) and they hardly cut out anything, unless it was really uneccessary, or inimportant. If things work out right, the movie would make loads of money and make the books even more popular. Since the movie wouldn’t be coming out untill after the Harry Potter series is over, I think that these movies will be the next Harry Potter. I really hope this gets made into a movie, and try to get someone who directed one of the HP movies to direct the series, for it to be as great as the books.
Comment by Nicole Evans — June 11, 2011 @ 8:08 pm

Comment by Devin Durham — June 16, 2011 @ 1:02 pm
please keep the actors kids to cuz thats part of the whole thing. Imagining that kids are going through all these thing adds to the overal effect of the book. If they where adults it wouldn’t be as moving and distubing in the parts that are.

Comment by molly — June 26, 2011 @ 3:52 pm
I hate to say it, but… Gone shouldn’t be a movie.
It should be a TV series.
Haven’t any of you seen ‘The Walking Dead’? Could you imagine getting AMC to make the Gone series into a show??? The graphics, at least, would be effing fantastic for a TV show. I know it would be less dramatic (temporarily) than a movie, but I read the entire book series like a TV series… it works better, it flows better, ESPECIALLY since there are so many personal perspectives. Lots of POVs.
Seriously, you would get 6 movies out of the Gone series (that’s if they even catch on…). A general TV show runs for 21-24 shows. 6 seasons = 126-166 shows. TV shows are cheaper than movies, and they keep RERUNNING on TV!!! Look at BtVS!!! 14 years later, and there are STILL episodes being rerun on TV.
Conjoin AMC and J.J. Abrams for the general overview of the entire series (there’s already a fully written plot, so it won’t be a dive-bomb like Lost and Fringe) and get either Michael Giacchino or Chris Tilton to write the score/soundtrack. I love this series very, very, very much and I’m probably one of the oldest people commenting in this forum. It’s exciting to come back to teen fiction (after all my years reading adult fiction… umm, not the dirty stuff :P) and find THIS!!! Jeez. I’m glad I caught it at the right time, though.
Comment by Kimdra — June 27, 2011 @ 3:26 am
I actually kind of agree with Kimbra. At first I thought a movie would be great but after reading that post I realize a tv show would be great too. My only problem is that I would never know what channel it would come on.
Comment by Madi — June 29, 2011 @ 10:31 pm

Comment by a real fan — July 7, 2011 @ 12:15 pm
i also agree with kimdra, if your from england (or even america im not sure) you will probably hhave heard of misfits. this has a superpower theme in it too, but its also qquite gritty like the gone series (it is much more gritty than gone though) you should check it out
Comment by elli — July 11, 2011 @ 11:56 am
I really think Gone should be turned into a movie! It would be a very unique kind of movie because of all of the personal perspectives. I think it would be interesting to see how they put all the different perspectives into it! If you don’t end up liking the movie, you don’t have to watch it again but who knows?? It may end up to be better than we ever thought it could be! π
Comment by Whit — July 12, 2011 @ 10:38 am
UH, finally! but a TV show? No. That would pretty much ruin it. It would turnm into a soap opera thing and it just wouldnt be good. I really hope this happens and being in this movie would be so much fun for the actors. π

I just Love these books, and it would be like a dream coming throug if this amazing book became a movie!
Not a TV show, please! a movie ! it will be the next ”harry potter”!! I’m begging !!
Comment by helene bjΓΈrnstad — July 16, 2011 @ 5:34 am
I just finished Plague not even two hours ago now and I have been thinking ever since your first book in the Gone series that it should be made into a movie also. The books are more than fantastic but if you were to make it into a movie alot of people will see just how great of a story it is!! And there is no doubt in my mind that it would come seriously close to becoming just as great or possibly even greater than Harry Potter.
Also, please do not make the mistake of making it into a T.V. show; the way you have it written wouldn’t make sence if it were. If it were made into a movie it is more likely to stay closer to the book than a T.V. show would.
But ultimetly it is your choice *sigh* I just really hope that you do choose to make it into a movie.
Comment by Erica — July 16, 2011 @ 11:23 pm
I think that Jodelle Ferland should play Narrezza in lies. She looks SO much like what I imagined her as! DO NOT turn it into a TV series. MAKE IT INTO A MOVIE!!!! Maybe even six, 1 for each book!!! Comment by Jennifer — August 2, 2011 @ 9:29 pm
hey for the roles of the characters i think they should do auditions for new people to step in. Insted of having well known faces become the character… you need someone who will be that face forever and it should be someone who when we read the book we see in our imagination as we read it so i think they should hold auditions π
give someone like us a chance :]

ok what pisses me off the most is that there really are no black actresses to play Dekka if this were made into a movie. Its really sad. I aslo can get a clear picture of what dekka would look like. I know, maybe muscular, tall slender but also in lies nerezza says shes fat…so anybody have an answer for me? lol I would love to play her. I think open casting calls, online and in some states would be good.

Pleeeeaaaasssseeee hold open auditions for Diana in Sydney!!! I look exactly like her-Black long curlyish wavy hair, Dark eyes, darkish olive skin that can look REALLY tan or super pale (they never explain what type of skincolour she has)And im pretty positive that there’s some perfect Lanas, Astrids,Briannas, Marys, Taylors, and Dekkas etc out there u just gotta look! good luck with the movie and keep it true to the book-No one wants a repeat of the golden compass or percy jackson!! XD

I’ve not even finished ‘Hunger’ yet – I only just discovered the books – but I’m already excited about a movie. Please don’t make it a fail like Percy Jackson and The Golden Compass, though. Open casting calls would be much appreciated, in the UK as well. Nobody’s mentioned that yet ^.^ Diana is my favourite character. I’m hooked on her relationship with Caine.
So yeah. Open casting calls in the UK, or an opportunity to send in tapes online. π

I would love to see these books become movies! but im afraid there gonna mess it up with the little things! yes the characters are young but some of them, like drake, should look older to give more of that sadistic look π i also agree with a lot of the other comments. keep it to the book! keep it vulgar and sick! thats what makes these books unreal! π 1 other little thing would be the way Brianna runs! if she runs like the vampires in Twilight or in The Vampires Assistant, the movie will fail π
Michael Grant, you are a genius!

I haven’t read gone, but have read hunger and get the overall idea of gone (didn’t think it was a series) but I’d love it to be a film!!!!! It would beat any other, it’s awesome!!!! Read it in a day! Couldn’t put it down!

This is the most awesome series ever! And Gone has gotta be the best book I’ve read in ages! It’s totally good enough to be made into a movie, but the movie’ll probably turn out shit like all other movies based off of books:/

I love the book the book would be f’n amazing!!!!!!!!!! I would love to play Lana!! But I heard that they are already making a movie in holland or something and they probably already have an actress for Lana or astrid I think they still need a Sam drake Diana Orc Mary and dahra and other people. I actually kinda look like Lana long black hair and pale someone please!!!!! all the perfect actors who love the book are out there they just need to know where to start
Comment by Leanne — September 3, 2011 @ 4:37 pm
I think I’d play a fairly decent Computer Jack; I’m 11, wear glasses, have short blonde hair, blue eyes, slightly tanned skin, and I wouldn’t say my body is skinny and hunched, but I’d say a few dashes of makeup would make me cut for the camera. Not bragging, but I think I’m a fairly positive actor. There’s barely a chance I’ll make an actor, though; my parents hate Gone, I live in New Zealand, and I’ve never gone “public”. It’d be interesting to see Caine’s actor. For me, the most critical of actors are Diana and Litle Pete. Diana needs to be born sarcastic. You need to see it in her eyes, the witch, the deciever, the roll-eyes, joke making, brown-haired girl. And Little Pete? You don’t need to be too clever to realize the flaws of Little Pete. First of all, how are you going to get a little kid to act as an autistic four/five-year-old? And that too-pretty, girlish, Game Boy addicted look? It’s going to be hard. The Darkness, with some makeup and animation, should make the cut.

Defintly make a movie! Have it in the different books of course but i have to say no to the show. It would be slaughtered and the money would be wasted so PLEASE do not do the show. But you would proably make millions with themovie! People would be so excited to finally have a new sort of harry potter, though i have to say they would be equals
Comment by gonerocks — September 6, 2011 @ 8:20 pm
My favorite chsaracter would have to be little pete. I mean, who else could save almost eberybody by creating a barrier t ne known as the FAYZ? Thugh, as everybody would pick sam and astrid! I have to say that caine and diana are adorable! Caine loves her and I am pretty sure she at the very least cares about him. They better get together!

If there IS a Gone movie… I should play Astrid :). I actually look a lot like her: Blonde, blue eyes, also have an autistic brother and I’m really smart. But I don’t know if I know more of pi than her. 3.14159265358979323846 that’s really all I know from memory. Yeah, and I’m her age haha π
Comment by Brielle — September 10, 2011 @ 1:57 pm
Sorry I had to submit another comment after I just submitted one but I think the actors should NOT be the people on the cover because how do we know that their not just models and that their actual actresses and actors? I mean, they might. I’ve modeled a bit and do dabble in acting. I’m in eighth grade and will be in high school next year and TOTALLY taking acting and theater classes. That’s what my career test said I should be. But I think I would be a great Astrid because I DO have an autistic brother and I would ‘know’ I guess. Oh! Here he is now. But yeah, I’m intellegent (Smart blonde! Haha, oxymoron) and I am a great actress. In case you were wondering, I HAVE READ THE BOOKS AND UNDERSTAND THEM. Please don’t do old actresses that are adults, that’s just a bit dumb. But I think they should make people do casting calls in Arizona, California, New York, Montana and Texas. I live in Arizona but I just thought these would be goof places :). No offense to people who live in Australia and England, I think there should be casting calls there too π

Comment by Kailea — September 26, 2011 @ 7:05 am
This series is amazing. I absolutely love it!
But I DISAGREE all the way for it to become a movie. Books are something you read and can picture in your head, you can create the senery and the characters looks and voice, but if a movie comes out then what’s the pont of reading the book in the first place? Plus, just saying “PLEEAASEE make Gone a movie!” doesn’t mean it’s gonna happen. A movie takes heaps of time and money. Why use up that time making a movie while one can write the NEXT book (Fear or Darkness).
Nonetheless, your books are great Michael, its multicultured and is diffinitly my kind of book.

Michael Grant is a wonderful, talented author who has potentially captivated the imaginations of many people by writing the Gone series.
This book and series deserves to be made into a movie. When this happens the actors and actresses on the other hand should probably be ” fresh faces” who are around about the right age. Because if Gone becomes a hit then they might make a sequel and so on and if older characters play the part of fourteen year olds in Gone, then won’t they be too old for the part later on?
I am thirteen going on fourteen in 2012 and I would absolutely love playing the part of Diana Ladris because in reality I can relate to her. For example, I have long dark brown hair and dark brown eyes like Diana. My favourite saying is “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder!”
I also tend to be sarcastic a lot. I know I would have the potential to portray her character!!!
Also not to mention I have read the Gone series books that have so far been published and I thoroughly enjoyed them!!!!
I’d also like to say congratulations to Mr.Michael Grant on the success of publishing such thriving novels.

I’m not the kind of guy that throws up easily. Plague was a breeze. But I’ve got to admit, it did send my heart to my throat a couple of times. Sam: playing the usual hero with problems of his own. Astrid: on the brink of madness through religious zeal. Edilio: has a few moments of panic and pain. Caine: more hungry for power than ever. Diana: madly in love with Caine but reluctant to take the relationship too far. Drake: just plain creepy. All of this is centred around the so-called SDC, the supernatural death cough, a devastating flu that makes victim chuck their guts up – literally. But parasites are eating their way out of other victims’ bodies – and growing by the minute.
Comment by Anonymous — November 19, 2011 @ 4:33 pm
Let me share my opinion on Drake.
My head says Michael Grant ruined the book with Drake and Brittney melded together invinciblely, etc. But my instinct says that it makes causes more suspense and horror in the story. Then again, it makes me wonder: How will Drake ever be killed? I mean, he has to die in the end, right? Maybe he’s on a curse or something. Or maybe Little Pete kills him through rage. Speaking of Little Pete, I wonder how he’s going to use his power now that he can control it. Very interesting.

I just wanted to say that I love the Gone Series I am currently reading Plague. Some parts I have found really gross! But it was written so well! These books are awesome! I think that it should be a movie, but I don’t really care for the idea of it being a t.v show. I also agree that they should try to find fresh faces instead of dinsney and nickalodian characters. I would love to play Astrid, she’s like one of my favorite characters. Her, Edilio, Sam, and Brianna.

Comment by Chacne — December 24, 2011 @ 3:46 am
Gone, not only brilliant, thrashing, and very suspenseful, but is probably the most addicting series I have EVER read. I find myself reading it all day long, when I wake up, when I go to bed, even when I take a piss or eat! (Yeah, it’s gone that far buddies) I can already imagine Gone being a successful movie. Why the heck would you make it a show? Yeah, people have there little ideas, this and that, but buddy, really? Movies make more money. Gone is already a hit series, imagine the movies. It’s not even that, the movie has flaws too. Where are you going to find an autistic kid? You gotta think about this. It’s not even on other people’s opinions. You need to plan this. And for that matter, you need a good Diana. I’d love playing her. Me and her are very connected, I even look like the Diana on the cover. I am a very good actress too, but I wish you luck, I guess… if you do make a movie. Us fans will be waiting. I’m a big dystopian fan. Don’t, seriously, don’t dissapoint us Michael Grant. Make the best choice, we’re counting on you.

Please dont take offense, but they wouldnt have to find an actual autistic kid just an ACTOR. But I agree, I would LOVE to play Astrid! @ Nabeel Mansuri. Yeah the cast does seem realistic and it’s a great idea! But (please don’t be offended) I think we should have ” fresh faces”. There a lot of everyday people who sure would love to play parts of certain characters like Sam Astrid Dekka Brianna and etc.

ok i know i have commented on this way to many times but this is the only blog i ever follow! π but seeing i’ve been on hear way to many times i agree with the people that say fresh face and absolutely no disney channel/Nick/any childish channel stars. But there are some stars that i would be perfect for some of these part, like Brianna. i think Chloe Mortez should play her. and maybe logan lerman for Caine, not Sam. Sam i would have to say, if this actor was younger, Alex pettyfer! lol but hes older now. but diana i can just see Demi lavato ding her. i know no disney character but she seems like she would kick ass in that part that all i got thou…all the other parts i cant think of even Dekka! she would be hard to cast. I would love to play her thou.

I have all the books and have read them all at least 5 times!! I think that the characters on the books should play the roles of the characters in the movie. Just make sure that you don’t leave anything out because I hate it when people leave something crucial out. But I understand if you can’t put EVERY LITTLE SENTENCE, or some of the scenes because they’re just too hard to put it out on the screen or too innapropriate for people our age to see. (BUT Animorphs probably will)
It’s because Gone just has waaayyy too much going on in it, and if you’ve read gone, you would understand what I mean…You wouldn’t want them to leave out parts, right?
Although, Gone has pretty much every trait of a series thriller TV show, and I think THATS where we should lay our hopes!
What’dya think?
Comment by Alina — February 26, 2012 @ 9:15 pm
And auditions in Sydney too!!!!! In fact world wide auditions!!!!!! XD π
Comment by Ash — February 29, 2012 @ 3:01 am
OMG guys check out what michael grant tweeted earlyer this morning:
Long day. Deluge of emails asking for things, all good. “Could you do an overview for possible screenwriters on GONE?” Um, yes, I could.
NOW SCREAM !!! π

Get peter jackson (lord of the rings director)
I think he will do a grate job.
Comment by Jan M — March 12, 2012 @ 3:43 pm
This series is perfect for a movie saga. one that i belive will leave the twilight saga in the dust. though i would advise to wait until the hunger games saga hits a road bump between films.
Comment by missyb — March 13, 2012 @ 10:30 pm
U can do it !!!
Comment by Ash — March 14, 2012 @ 12:59 am
I don’t believe that Gone should be made into a movie. The books are excellent, but should be left as books. What’s the point of reading a book if you could wait and see it in theatres. Putting everything in movies is causing our society to start lacking imagination since we don’t have to imagine what characters look like, picture their locations in our minds and so on.
Comment by mel — March 15, 2012 @ 10:10 am
gone needs to be made a movie with great actors and great “special effects” for the whip hand and the white laser beams and other abnormal creations of the fayz. also it shouldnt be a movie by disney because then it wont be anything like the book just like the percy jackson movie.
Comment by chafro — March 15, 2012 @ 9:35 pm
a television show would be great for the gone series. every major or somewhat major conflist could take about 30-60 minutes on a television show. to make sure people watch it dont make it animated.
Comment by chafro — March 15, 2012 @ 9:41 pm
im sorry to dissapoint u guys… but thers not goin to be a Gone movie… π
ther is alredy a moovie named Gone…
and they cant copy it…

Comment by Sam — March 16, 2012 @ 12:38 pm
but maybe ther will be a series… :3
Comment by Sam — March 16, 2012 @ 12:38 pm
A TV series would be amazing, one season for each book. Definately NOT a movie, it would ruin it by missing out everything.
Peter Jackson would be awesome and please don’t use Steerling Knight (No offence to him, but he doesn’t seem dark enough).
I can just see the tension when one episode ends on “Little Pete caused the FAYZ”.
Comment by BJ — March 16, 2012 @ 7:55 pm
@ Sam hahahh is your name really Sam? anyway, yeh there is also a movie called “Gone” about someone getting abducted or something, but that doesn’t mean The Gone Series by Michael Grant cannot be a movie. They can name it something like ” Gone” and in small print ” The Gone Series by Michael Grant “β¦ or whatever. Let’s show some spirit, hope and belief here people!!!!!!! If The Hunger Games could manage itβ¦β¦ SO CAN GONE!!!!!!!!!!! My teacher once wisely advised our class “If you do not give up, you cannot fail”!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And that’s true… You can’t fail if you keep trying!! Just believe in yourself!

Comment by Sonya — March 25, 2012 @ 8:14 pm
I think if they do ANYTHING, they better do a movie and they better do a damn good job of it as well. Only problem with this, is I read books Hardcover and throw out the sleeves for them, but I still pictured Sam as having dark hair.
Comment by Kira — March 31, 2012 @ 7:05 pm
@ Kira I know right? I also picture as Sam having a darker shade of hair. Maybe something like dark blonde to lightish brown.
Comment by Ash — March 31, 2012 @ 10:27 pm
It would be amazing if they would make the book gone into a movie, i always try to imagine the characters and what they would look like. I hope that if they do make a movie out of it, it will be good and not miss out major characters like in Percy Jackson and the Lightning thief. If they did make a movie, they would also make lots of money as lots of people have read the books. MAKE THE MOVIE
Comment by Schmillan — April 1, 2012 @ 4:19 pm

THIS IS MY FAVEOURITE SERIES! Please make it a movie! Make the whole series! This will be great!
Comment by Ash — April 5, 2012 @ 10:43 am
Once I started reading gone I couldn’t stop. I adore the style of the book and I’ve read every book in the series so far. I recently finished plague and this wait time is killing me! It is easily one of my favorite books and many of my friends as well. If there were to be a movie I know at least 40 people in Mozambique (where I am) who would go to it in South Africa and I can’t even imagine the success it would have in the United States. Movie Please!
Comment by Marcus — April 5, 2012 @ 10:47 am
Okay, first thing. If they did make Gone into a movie and stayed true to the book, it’d have to be rated R. Hollywood only allows a certain amount of violence against kids (which everyone in Gone is), which is why the Hunger Games showed so little actual killing. If there’s too many kids being hurt or killed, it would not be able to be PG-13, which means most of you probably couldn’t watch it. Stinks, but that’s how it goes. If they DID make a movie out of it, I’d want them to have it as close as possible, which probably wouldn’t be PG-13. (though they did do a good job with the Hunger Games in that area; it might work)
Comment by Arluanna — April 5, 2012 @ 2:21 pm
YES YES YES!!!!!! Make a movie PLEASE!!!!
Don’t cut out too much of the scenes though and please make the actors actually LOOK fourteen (or younger), they made that mistake with Stormbreaker.
DON’T make a TV show! Nowadays if the show is really popular they put it on really late and on a special TV channel, so not everybody would be able to see it!!
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!! Make a movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment by Rebecca — April 8, 2012 @ 7:28 am
Sorry that I say this, but it is THREE years later since this update. That is kinde late. I really want that Gone becomes a movie as well, but can we maybe get a new update about how it is going with the movie? Because it gives me not a lot of hope when I see the date of this update.
Comment by Vinz — April 15, 2012 @ 1:57 pm
@ Vinz a more up to date about Gone movie would be on Michael Grants (@ thefayz) twitter page. There is sometimes mention on how things are going with the movie plan.

Gone has to be made into a move when I got the newest book fear, my heart was pumping like crazy. The series will be the next biggest saga it is amazing I liked it better than the Harry potter seires, the twilight series, and the hunger games seires. I can’t wait till light comes out. Also josh hucherson should play a main character.
Comment by Pazaz — May 2, 2012 @ 1:23 am
I agree
Comment by Shaman — May 2, 2012 @ 1:23 am
If they make it into a movie it has to go by the book and not change it at all!!!! Otherwise it will SUCK
And Josh hutches on has to star in it, he did a good job at Steve leopard and peeta.
Comment by Shazam — May 2, 2012 @ 1:28 am

Comment by Ash — May 3, 2012 @ 2:14 am
if they make a movie. Make sure they make a good one , there are far to many movies that comes from greate books and the movie itself is aweful, please dont mess this one up
Comment by toxxic — May 4, 2012 @ 1:35 am
Omg this was an amazing book but I agree that it should not be made into a TV series definetly a movie. I also agree that if you do make a movie you should use the characters on the front of the book then it would be amazing. Man I can’t wait. Yeah and make sure if they do make a movie make it one that only misses little bits of parts and then it would probably be my favorite movie.
Good luck
bye -mika
Comment by mika — May 5, 2012 @ 8:59 pm
I agree with Mika, use the same kids from the covers, and it will definately be my fav movie. They’re attempting it in the Netherlands, but I took one look at it and said NOOOOOO!!!!!
PLEASE don’t stuff it up, and don’t cut out all the gore either (I’d love to watch Drake loose his arm!!!)

Comment by Ash — May 23, 2012 @ 1:56 am
This would be an amazing movie, and if they do cast the cover characters that would be good, because they are unknown! It would be a dream come true for some if they allowed fans to audition. But right now, with the Hunger Games fandom, there is a lot of competition, so I can see why nothings happened yet. Plus, if you have read the books from the start, you have a perfect image in your head on how you want the movie to be like. I just hope – if they do make the movie – that the novel isn’t changed to much. In fact, thats what ruined the Hunger Games for me. Its too mainstream and changed now. If there was a movie, I might not even watch it, just to stay true to the novels…..

I’m so in love with these books! I would absolutely LOVE to play Albert or Howard! (I’m an inspiring actor) and I totally agree with whoever said they should use unknown actors. Big-named actors would get way too boring to watch but, newer inspiring actors and actresses would be so much fun to see.
Comment by David — June 17, 2012 @ 4:47 pm
They should totes have auditions open to the public because I personally think I would be great for Albert because I’m black and kinda scrawny! I totally think they should open auditions to the public because that would make things so fun for the fans! They so need to make this into a movie!!!!!
Comment by David — June 17, 2012 @ 4:52 pm
Lol @ Carly. Out of curiosity if you got a chance to audition who would you audition for? I’d audition for Diana Ladris

Comment by Leo — July 7, 2012 @ 6:11 am
I hate it when producers persuade the directors to hire older actors/actresses. It’s SO annoying! If the characters are written to be 15 or 16 then hire people who actually are that age and not something stupid like 25. Who better to portray the mid-teen characters than mid-teens themselves. But that’s just my opinion x
Comment by Georgia — July 9, 2012 @ 4:31 pm
Sorry it’s me again. I also want to add that the producers and directors should look to new actors/actresses to play the roles. I don’t know about you guys but I’m sick of seeing the same old people on every movie/TV series going. I just get down-right board of them after a while. For example; and I’m not saying I don’t like her which it totally NOT true because she was awesome at playing Bella, but Kristen Stewart is everywhere and I’m a little board of watching her all the time. Same with Alex Petifer. Although he could be my Sam Temple any day! I’m just contradicting myself now aren’t I? Oh well!
Comment by Georgia — July 9, 2012 @ 4:40 pm
@Georgia so true we need ppl lk us newbies! If u got the chance to audition for any character/s who Would u audition for and y?
Comment by Ash — July 9, 2012 @ 8:44 pm
i hope the gone series becomes a tv show cuz if it would be made into a movie then theyll have to put everything in 1-2 hours which will rush through the plot and theme and characters so i prefer a tv show that goes on slowly introducing the theme/plot/characters…. besides who wouldnt want to watch gone every week then watch it once ;P ME
Comment by aimangabz — July 10, 2012 @ 10:07 am
I think a movie would be amazing! But I think that if they made a tv show out of it, I would personally find the director and choke him/her.
Comment by Lena — July 10, 2012 @ 4:03 pm
I’ve actually changed my mind and think Gone should become a tv series instead of a movie because if and it becomes a movie they will rush it and forget most things which will stink ! I vote for a tv series who’s with me ???
Comment by Daniel — July 11, 2012 @ 10:23 am
I agree with Daniel. But they forgot a lot of things in the Animorph TV series but in some cases they add things that never happend in the book which is more annoying at times. But TV series for sure.
Comment by Brnt — July 15, 2012 @ 3:18 pm
I agree with all of you!! TV series that are really good are usually on Foxtel and not everybody has that luxury. @Daniel, if they slow it down it won’t be fun anymore! I love gone mainly because it is fast and action packed and keeps you on the edge of your seat, and they could make it like two and a half hours instead of one…….
P.S SOOO Glad Penny is dead (she’s a crazy bitch :D)
Comment by Rebecca — July 18, 2012 @ 2:49 am

@ Gabo no there is no movie at the moment. However there Is a movie set to be released later on this year entitled “Gone” with Amanda Seyfried in it but that is a totally different movie unrelated to the GONE SERIES by Michael Grant. All in all no movie at the moment.

are you sure? they’ve been trying since 2009 to make a movie so I think that’ not gonna happen. Otherwise it wouldn’t have taken so long.
Comment by Sophia — July 29, 2012 @ 7:55 am
tv series would be great, but they would soften it done too much because they wouldnt want kids being violent like they are in the books π just like the hunger games!
Comment by Eliza — August 1, 2012 @ 4:17 am
@ sophia
don’t be a spoil-sport! Haven’t you seen Michaels latest video’s?? He’s still trying people are interested, and there are a lot of producers out there. Shut up and stop killing the dream for us!!!
@ Eliza
Don’t soften it! I would love to see a bit of violence here and there (I wanna see drake loose his arm) it wouldn’t be gone without wanting to throw up afterwards. And a tv show would stretch it out too much
Comment by Rebecca — August 2, 2012 @ 2:00 am
@sophia Just be patient. Its easy to just sit here and complain about it not coming out, but im sure it takes a lot of effort to even plan the making of a movie. Just wait. π
Comment by Pooburger — August 2, 2012 @ 2:07 am
Eliza is right they won’t be violent and goory like in the book e.g when the bugs are in Dekka and are eating her
Comment by Daniel — August 2, 2012 @ 2:24 pm
@ daniel
Yeah, but when you read it, it actually says that they were crawling around under her top, you don’t actually get any details. And give it an MA rating they can make it as gory as they want!
IT IS NOT GONE IF IT IS NOT GORY!!!!!
Comment by Rebecca — August 5, 2012 @ 4:13 am
may anyone explain to me what i need to do to become a voice actor for Video Games or Cartoons?
Comment by Danilo Pritchard — August 5, 2012 @ 7:14 pm
I’m nearly 30, and Ive been reading this series. I agree with you, it should be made into a tv series or film.
I think HBO should pick it up, They have done an amazing job on Game of Thrones, and also they did Band of Brothers, (which was a very realistic, gory at times, drama series following army squad in WW2) amongst many other amazing series. They are the people who will spend a lot of time, money and effort on it, and it will not disappoint.
There will be quite a few CGI elements, eg: the darkness, talking cyotes, not to mention the actual powers people have etc. But low budget CGI is cringey and unbelievable. If the Gone series is done wrong, rushed and cheaply it will be awful, and everyone will be disappointed. (including me).
Also you have to remember the producers have to keep violence to a level acceptable for the age group set by the film board. You have to remember there is (underage) drinking and drug taking in here too, which pushes the certificate grading up. 12A will not be worth it, if it was an 18 there would be uproar that it is a book for teenagers, that teenagers cant watch. So it means it would have to be a 15 (R in U.S)this is from wikipedia on a U.K certificate 15: ‘Violence may be strong but should not dwell on the infliction of pain or injury.’
‘Abuse of weapons which are easily obtained will not be tolerated’.
But however they achieve it, tv or film. I hope it is good, and justifies the books.
Comment by Em — August 7, 2012 @ 7:22 am
I seriously think Gone should be a movie. It is the best book I have ever read. I would LOVE to play Astrid. So if it does get made into a movie I would love it!!!!!

Comment by carly wyche — August 16, 2012 @ 3:32 pm
i definately agree! If they could do it with Hunger games they could do it with Gone. But i don’t think it matters about the rating. I’m 15, and I know for a fact that kids older and younger then me don’t give a damn about the rating. If it’s MA15+, 14 and 13 year olds would still be watching it, and they don’t have to cut so much out of it.

But to comment on Rayn’s comment you should make it into a movie like serioulsy!!!!! I would LOVE to watch it!! But it should be alot like the book!!! Not like the movies that miss important parts!!! PLEASE!!! MAKE IT A MOVIE AND TV SERIES!!!! π
Comment by Ashley Barooks — September 13, 2012 @ 9:30 am
Yes they should totally make this a movie!!! The people on the covers are amazing but they’re probably just models, not actors. Theres a difference. Although i love the Astrid, diana, quinn, dekka and brittney on the covers.
Comment by Anna Banana — September 16, 2012 @ 6:36 am
Right!! They should use the guy that was Sam on the covers!!! And Astrid!!! But I wonder who would play Drake, he was like madly insane but he had no powers just a whip for a hand!! That must have been weird, but when they are thinking of who should play Drake they should pick someone who could really play the part well!!! And when does Light come out??? Wanna read that really bad!! π
Comment by Ashley Barooks — September 16, 2012 @ 3:24 pm
And your most likely right that they are Models and NOT Actors, but should use people that look like them!!! That would be cool! And I agree with you Anna π
Comment by Ashley Barooks — September 16, 2012 @ 3:28 pm
Light comes out next year. Preferably in April
Comment by Ash — September 18, 2012 @ 1:22 am

Comment by Rebecca — September 27, 2012 @ 11:15 pm
Yep, but alot of people CAN’T wait for it to come out!!! I wonder if they will get out of that dome.
Comment by Ashley Barooks — September 30, 2012 @ 3:53 pm
@ ashley i hope they do, but i’m also hoping it doesn’t end in some ‘they all lived happily ever after’ way
Comment by Rebecca — September 30, 2012 @ 7:34 pm
@Rebecca, your soo right!! I mean it shouldn’t end like happily ever after!!! I think it would ruin the ending if they did that!!! I mean Drake should die!! In my opinion!

Comment by Ashley Barooks — October 18, 2012 @ 2:34 pm
@ dave, they are looking into it. Michael Grant is talking to producers and stuff now. There is nobody interested at the moment but they are thinking about it. @Ashley Barooks, I think Drake has gone past a mental hospital…… but yes he should die!!!!
Comment by Rebecca — October 18, 2012 @ 8:18 pm
Yea, even though him and Caine are both bad guys Caine is so much better, Drake is just a mentally ill person who needs serious help. I like Caine though everyone loves a bad guy!!
Comment by Ashley Barooks — October 20, 2012 @ 3:57 pm
True Caine is awesome!!
Comment by Rebecca — October 22, 2012 @ 6:38 am
Yea but not my favorite, i have no idea of who my favorite character is! They are all awesome…. well not all of them but most!!! But Same sounds so HOT! Same with Edilio but he is Gay!!!! OMG!
Comment by Ashley Barooks — October 22, 2012 @ 4:36 pm

Comment by Rebecca — October 23, 2012 @ 7:10 pm
Idk i loved them all!! Except Drake and Penny they both deserved to die!! Have to admit Penny had it coming!! Caine and Sam sound so hot!! and i might like Edilio even he wasn’t gay! When i found out i was like what?! and reread that part to make sure i read it right, i was like OMG!
Comment by Ashley Barooks — October 24, 2012 @ 2:44 pm
True, Penny Drake but also Astrid!! She’s a bitch! And yes, I couldn’t beleive that Penny died, I was like YES!!!
Comment by Rebecca — October 25, 2012 @ 9:45 pm

Comment by Ashley Barooks — October 27, 2012 @ 3:40 pm
So did i, but i think she likes Sanjit
Comment by Ashley Barooks — October 28, 2012 @ 4:10 pm
They seem to have forgotten about a few things from the first book, like Edilio and Lana, and what happened to Astrids moof?
Comment by Rebecca — October 28, 2012 @ 6:24 pm
Astrids moof?
Comment by Ashley Barooks — October 30, 2012 @ 3:05 pm
Yes, remember? When she and sam were above the church in the end she was talking about it….. :/
Comment by Rebecca — November 1, 2012 @ 10:47 pm
I don’t think i remember, what was it again? I forgot
Comment by Ashley Barooks — November 2, 2012 @ 2:30 pm
She could like see pople’s fates or something. She said that Sam was ‘the brghtest star in the sky’…. Apparently one of the major characters die in Light… I hope it’s her π
Comment by Rebecca — November 4, 2012 @ 1:01 am
Please !! For all the fans around the world who were as gripped to the book as I was, make a film. If nobody does ,I will !!
Comment by Grace Murphy — November 4, 2012 @ 11:20 am
Lol, cool bet it was soo awkward when Dekka told Brianna that she loved her. I love Brianna’s power!! Super Speed!! Or Taylor’s, but she died π because Little Peetey tried to make her better!!
Comment by Ashley Barooks — November 4, 2012 @ 1:39 pm

Comment by Ashley Barooks — November 11, 2012 @ 11:09 am
This would be an amazing movie! I am obsessed with these books! Go Michael Grant!!! I really hope someone decides to complete the entire series, unlike the Percy Jackson series. π
Comment by Ryan — November 14, 2012 @ 8:24 pm
Her thing, these books will become so popular, like the Hunger Games. The school library now has 8 copies of the Hinger Games because of the movie craze. It would be flippin’ amazing if you could talk about these books with everyone you knew. I love talking about books with my friends, but they’ve never read half of what I have! I love this series and really want to see how screenwriters portray everyone. And about using your imagination, it’s awesome to imagine the storyline, but seeing how someone else does it, especially with high expectations, is just amazing.
Comment by Ryan — November 14, 2012 @ 8:33 pm
IKR! I wanna see if they don’t miss the important parts!! Like in the Hunger Games, they missed the part of where she got the pin! They got it wrong!!! @Ryan
Comment by Ashley Barooks — November 15, 2012 @ 6:37 pm
But these movies are gonna be good!!
Comment by Ashley Barooks — November 18, 2012 @ 5:55 pm
True!!! But yes, if they miss any facts like in the hunger games (I wanted to see the prep team :() but at the smae time I don’t want it to be ruined. Like the hunger games, I had read the first one before the movies and i enjoyed it, then the movie came out and everyone was so obsessed with it, it kind of ruined it a bit π
Oh well….. can’t wait for light!
Comment by Rebecca — November 25, 2012 @ 5:42 pm
@Rebecca, RIGHT! I wanted to see her prep team!! But all we saw was Cinna! And she did not just pick up the pin from the market place, the mayors daughter gave it to her for crying out loud!!!! I don’f care if this sounds rude, but i want Drake to die!!! He deserves it!!
Comment by Ashley Barooks — November 26, 2012 @ 3:45 pm
@Ashley I know!! So do I!! I was glad when Penny died! π what I was disapointed with most about the Hunger Games was the fact that they died it down majorly!! It wasn’t as graphic as I was hoping it would be (Especially with the wasps!) If they do that if they make this movie I will be sooooo pissed!! I wanna see Drake loose his arm!! π
Comment by Rebecca — November 28, 2012 @ 1:33 am
@Rebecca, right!!! But I wanna see Drake die!!!
Comment by Ashley Barooks — November 30, 2012 @ 6:23 pm
@ Ashley Yes!!!! I think everybody wants that!!! (Him and Astrid :):))
Comment by Rebecca — December 4, 2012 @ 1:13 am

Comment by Ashley Barooks — December 13, 2012 @ 4:01 pm
@Ashley it will be good as long as they don’t die it down or cut too much out π
Comment by Rebecca — December 17, 2012 @ 12:18 am
@Rebecca, Right!! They MUST have ALL the important parts! Heck, they need to have like everything!! Then it’d be amazing!!
Comment by Ashley Barooks — December 17, 2012 @ 4:16 pm
@ Ashley Yes!!! Like the background story with Sam’s step-dad and the light in his wardrobe π They only put half the story in the hunger games it was a pain!
Comment by Rebecca — December 18, 2012 @ 6:53 am
@Rebecca, OMG RIGHT! But it was a good movie……. Still this one would be AWESOME if they had ALL important parts!!! I mean ALL
Comment by Ashley Barooks — December 19, 2012 @ 4:15 pm
@ Ashley, yes agreed hunger games was awesome, but forget important parts in gone, because I reckon every single part and word of Gone was important π
Comment by Rebecca — December 19, 2012 @ 10:36 pm
@Rebecca, But i think the movie will be good!!! Hope soo!
Comment by Ashley Barooks — December 21, 2012 @ 4:12 pm
@Ryan hey out of curiosity is this the same Ryan who role plays Caine on our GONE role play on Instagram. And also has a The Hunger Games fan base account on Instagram???? Coz if it is HI!!!!!! ITS ME ASH!!!! (aka role play for Lana). If you are a completely different Ryan, I’m sorry for being a weirdo…
Comment by Ash — January 6, 2013 @ 5:40 pm

Comment by Ashley Barooks — February 7, 2013 @ 5:53 pm

Comment by Beth — April 14, 2013 @ 12:49 pm

Comment by Kelly Valle — April 19, 2013 @ 8:33 pm
Theyd better cast it right if they do. Logan Lerman for Caine would be good and Taya Campbell Over is the living eptomime of Diana.
Comment by Jacia — May 9, 2013 @ 11:27 am
@Jacia, what I wanna know id who is gonna play Lana… She is one of my favorites!! They NEEEEDDD to cast this thing right!!!
Comment by Kelly Valle — May 22, 2013 @ 3:31 pm
@Jacia they need to be careful though, they cant make the characters too old or it wont be beleivable
Comment by Rebecca — May 28, 2013 @ 8:39 pm
OMG it will be so awesome. But I think it will be beter if they make a tv serie of Gone instead of a movie. But if not I will certainly watch the movie(s).
Comment by Mini — July 23, 2013 @ 8:25 am
@Mini, I’d watch it either way.. Shows or Movie it will be good π
Comment by Kelly — August 17, 2013 @ 4:06 pm
Please make it into a movie!!!!!! It would be amazing! And they need to make the movie like the book, I hate it when the movie is nothing like the book. THE DIRECTOR NEEDS TO ACTUALLY READ THE BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOT JUST SKIN OVER IT. Make sure the actors look like they could be young enough to be in the FAYZ!!! BEST WISHES!!!!!!!
Comment by Annabeth — November 6, 2013 @ 11:54 pm
Make it a video game.
Comment by Drew — December 7, 2013 @ 1:04 pm
MAKE A MOVIE OF THE BOOK.PLEASE!!!!!!!!!
Comment by bob — February 20, 2014 @ 11:48 am
IN A WAY THAT WORLD WOULD BE AWESOME TO LIVE IN, BUT IN A WAY A SCARY WAY TO LIVE UR CHILDHOOD.
Comment by bob — February 20, 2014 @ 11:51 am
U should make it a movie. It will bring in tons of money. and not just teens will watch it, a lot of kids have been exploring darker themes. im 11 and ive read the entire series. believe me, the gone series would be SO popular.
Comment by elliott — March 2, 2014 @ 9:54 pm
I would like to audition for the role of Drake as well as Quinn. If you are the person able to make this happen contact me at Sephyus@yahoo.com I’m a 5’11 curly brown headed 16 year-old, I’m physically fit but I don’t have a six-pack, YET!! I’m not over exaggerating when I say I’m extremely good at acting.
